Cougars are 3 outs away from beating #2 Florida which doesn't surprise me at all. This Cougars team has a really good staff and enough hitting to win a Regional. I was writing this last week. This is probably the best 4 seed in about a decade at least with their good/decent RPI that doesn't tell the story.

C of C wins! They still have to beat the Dirt Bags, but I don't see a problem. Cougars are in the driver's seat to win this Regional and advance. I thought this could happen and it's looking quite likely right about now! Congrats Cougars!!

Congrats CofC on the win over the overrated Gators.

Funny to see Florida and UNC in the losers bracket.

I agree about FL maybe being a little over rated but they are a tough team. As for LBS I thought they may be the best team in the regional. Their pitching can match up with anyone in the country.

Congrats Charleston on the 2 wins so far. Hopefully the delays will cause the Long Beach/UNC winner to use a bunch of their pitchers too much.

Good luck going forward. Strong pitching can give teams a chance and you guys have that.

Charleston up 4-2 going into the bottom of the 4th (Charleston is away team). Only need to win 1 more win of 2 to go to Super Regionals and face Miami/Texas Tech winner

Congrats. Looks like they get TTech.

Charleston pitching is insanely good and that can help you go far. Sad for the rest of CAA that I think all of the main starters come back next year.

Have to go to Lubbuck, Texas for the super regional. I wish Miami had won that regional because they are not a good hitting team and their pitching is not that great after their Fri starter TT is a very good hitting team and has a deep pitching staff. They also Ave about 2700 fans for home games and I seriouly doubt we will have over about a 100 that are able to make the trip. Our best chance is to get an early lead and keep the pressure on them. Luckily we scored first in all 3 regional games. Thanks for all the support over here.

You did come from behind in the last game though. That pitching staff of yours is solid and your 3rd starter has become impressively effective.

When you win your Regional, you belong with the big boys. Kent State and Stony Brook went on the road and knocked off tough Oregon and LSU squads, respectively, to reach Omaha in '12. You are 2 victories away. Now is not the time to lose confidence. Especially with the starting pitching you have.

Red Raiders win 1 zip. Run came in third inning. 4 hits for Cougars, 5 for Texas Tech. Better luck tomorrow Charleston.

Congrats on a terrific season CofC.

Just too bad your pitching efforts got wasted but being a NU baseball supporter I know what it's like to see great pitching performances wasted.

Hitting our Achilles heel all year. Luckily most of our pitching will be back next year. We also only lose 2 position players. Just hope after facing college level pitching for a year our returning players will pick the hitting up a notch next year.
